Let's Do This!

Covid!  If I hear this word again, I think that I may just scream!  I mean really scream.  Not just in my head, but the real full meal deal....LOUD, Deafening, thunderous, ear splitting!  I think you catch my drift.  I as well as millions of others, are so tired of hearing about not much else but Covid, oh,, and the war in Ukraine (but that will have to be a different conversation, some other time).  But seriously, it has now been three years that the world has been dealing with all of this sickness.  Last summer after surviving BC's "heat dome" and terrible fire season, we decided to take our trailer and drive across the country to Ontario to see Riki and family.  We hadn't seen them for almost two years.  We had a great trip. And few months after returning home BC was hit with so much rain which caused some of the worst floods in years!  Friends were flooded right out of their homes.  Major highways were wiped out from rock slides and small creeks turned into massive rivers destroying everything in their paths.  We couldn't even get to Kamloops to see Tanya and her family for months!  2021 was definitely not our finest year!

I am tired. So very tired of it all. It is time to "get out of Dodge".  Hit the road Jack.  We need a vacation.  And we need some nice weather.  We haven't see Cia and family for just about three years now, so a trip south is definitely due.  Originally we were going to take our trailer down worming our way into Ventura area.  But as our truck won't be fixed anytime soon (yup,  another story) we can't do as planned.  I checked into flying and it just seemed like too much trouble, and besides I am not sure I am ready to be sitting on a plane with 200 others breathing the same air.  After some though we decided to just drive down in the SUV and have Derian park their trailer at the campsite for us to use.  So we have a plan to get out of town.  We will drive down the Oregon and California coasts right into wine country and then get through San Fransisco, through Santa Barbara and head right into Ventura, where the trailer will be all set up for us.   So stay tuned, if you dare for another wacky adventure.  Some questions to think about... Will Ray run out of gas?  Will I have greyer hair by the time we return?  I guess you will have to wait and see.
